The Gunvault MVB500 Microvault Biometric is another reliable biometric pistol gun safe from Gunvault. It provides lighting-quick access, even in the dark due to its patented No-Eyes Keypad and Biometric pad. It features an improved high strength lock mechanism, with 12 million user selectable access codes. Confirming correct keypad entries is easy because of audio feedback. Audio can be disabled through “stealth” mode operation. Gunvault MVB500 is battery powered, secure and portable even with its heavy-gauge steel construction. Obviously, it uses biometric technology or fingerprint recognition rather than combination locks wherein a speedy identification of enrolled fingerprints is achieved. It has other amazing features as well like the built-in computer and has a four pre-drilled holes on the bottom of vault.

When I started owning one of this Gunvault MVB500 Microvault Biometric Pistol Gun Safe, I changed my mind about having a very low confidence for biometric identification technology. My skepticism for this type of technology somehow vanished because even if I was expecting a series of negatives about this safe, what I get was actually a series of positives. There was actually no problem with the biometrics of this safe as it turned out trouble-free and accurate indeed. There is quick access as soon as I had the safe recognize my fingerprints. In other words, it works flawlessly that I have nothing negative to say about its performance.
In addition to this, I have to keep a couple of guns in the safe and I was able to, because there is plenty of room for two. Another concern I was watching out for is on how strong and secure the safe could be. Surely when it comes to thieves, it can easily be carried since it is compact. But the four holes at the bottom of the safe solved my problem. The holes are made so that I can mount the safe fixed and bolted on a certain spot so that it cannot be easily removed from your designated spot. So, in a way, it can be strong and secure, sturdy and reliable as well.
Its portability is also a plus for me since I usually travel a lot. This way, I could bring the safe with me with no trouble and without it being such a burden for me since I really need a locked box every time I travel with a firearm.
