I was looking for a fireproof home safe mainly to put all of my important legal documents in. I hate having to keep them in drawers and boxes, free for wandering hands and eyes to happen across. I do private investigation work and need a safe place to put all my documents and such. I rather my own personal safe, that I could keep at home versus a safe deposit box at a bank. Not only do I need my documents secured, but I also need them very accessible to me.
I chose to go with the SentrySafe H3300 because it looks like it would provide ample storage space for all my documents. Plus the measurements, which are 13.9 inches width and 14 inches length, are perfect for legal sized paper. This Sentry safe also gives you the option of placing hanging folders inside. It has a railing for the folder hooks that run across the ends of the 14 inch side.

SentrySafe H3300 was also one of the cheaper models available. Most safes its size would usually run into the hundreds of dollars. I didn’t’ want to spend that much on a safe at the moment, so the SentrySafe was the best choice. I bought it for just under $150, plus this purchase came with free shipping and handling. This is great, because I know for a package that heavy; the S&H can be quite a considerable amount. You get a lot of value for the price and even though it was on the cheaper end, the SentrySafe doesn’t compromise on its quality.

It’s Heavy – Real Heavy
This safe is a very heavy piece of object and can pose quite a hazard if put someplace high. Weighing at about 65 pounds of solid metal and plastic, it’s safer to put this safe closer to the ground. A closet or under the bed, if you have a high bed, would be ideal. The lid is also very heavy and it can be painful if you accidentally dropped it on your hands. Good thing they have a stand that keeps the lid securely opened while the safe is in use. It’s a very sturdy and durable safe, and in the case of fire or water damage, I’m confident it will keep its contents safe and secure.
SentrySafe H3300 Opens With A Traditional Key
SentrySafe H3300 opens up with a traditional key. No password, or combination or code numbers are required. It’s a very convenient feature for those who have bad memories or just have too much on their mind. One less thing to remember is always good. I already have a hard enough time memorizing my own cell phone number, what more an important code that will give me access to my valuables. A key lock is sufficient and can pretty much guarantee that you can open the safe whenever you need it to be opened.
Overall, it’s a really good, solid safe. It has all the key features of what a safe should have as well as nice little extras. I was able to put in about 4 months of documents in there, in addition to some money and a small concealed weapon. I would recommend it to anyone.
